Postal Savings Bank of China Qingdao Branch "3·15" Financial Education Campaign Goes Grassroots and Shows Care
In busy farmers’ markets, during courier morning meetings, beside village fair stalls, and amidst the joyful laughter at sugar ball festivals… To actively promote the 2026 March 15th Financial Consumer Rights Protection Publicity and Education Campaign, Postal Savings Bank of China Qingdao Branch mobilized all staff to step out of the counters, go deep into frontline communities, focus on key groups such as new employees and elderly customers, and carry out a series of warm, down-to-earth, and effective publicity and education activities, ensuring financial knowledge truly “flies into ordinary people’s homes.”

“Financial Protection Station” in the Market:
Putting Knowledge into People’s Shopping Baskets
“Grandpa, don’t click on links promising high returns—that’s all scams.” At a busy farmers’ market in Qingdao, the “Market Financial Protection Station” set up by Postal Savings Bank of China Qingdao Branch was crowded with shoppers.
Markets are the most vibrant places of city life and the closest propaganda venues to citizens. To truly integrate financial knowledge into everyday life, the bank set up prominent promotional booths in the market, formed financial consumer protection volunteer teams, and provided one-on-one consultations, face-to-face explanations, and hands-on teaching for citizens and vendors.
“Look at this message, saying you’ve won a prize but need to pay a fee to claim it—that’s a typical scam.” Staff used simple, easy-to-understand language, combined with real cases, to break down common scams like telecom fraud, illegal fundraising, and fake investments, transforming professional financial knowledge into fraud prevention tips that ordinary people can understand, remember, and use.
The event also featured interactive experiences, where citizens could participate in financial knowledge quizzes and anti-fraud challenges to receive eco-friendly bags, vegetables, aprons, and other gifts printed with consumer protection slogans. “This eco-bag is great; I see the reminder every time I buy vegetables, keeping me alert,” said a young mother with a smile.
The “Market Financial Protection Station” broke traditional publicity models by combining “livelihood scenarios + fun interactions + practical gifts,” moving financial consumer protection from “counters” to “markets,” from “passive listening” to “active participation,” effectively raising risk awareness among the elderly, housewives, and vendors.
Postal Route Collaboration:
Tailored Anti-Fraud Lessons for Couriers
“With so many transactions daily, I really need to be more cautious,” said courier colleagues during a morning meeting at a postal delivery center in Qingdao, attentively listening to staff from Postal Savings Bank of China Qingdao Branch.
Couriers frequently use mobile payments and online transfers, work at a fast pace, and have limited channels for financial knowledge, making them vulnerable to telecom fraud and illegal online lending. To address this, the bank partnered with Qingdao Postal Branch to innovate the “Postal Route Collaboration: Anti-Fraud Escort” publicity model, creating a scenario-based communication chain: “Promoting at morning meetings, reminder stickers on parcels, and knowledge with express shipments.”
The outreach team visited the postal delivery center, using morning meetings to conduct financial consumer protection education, focusing on preventing telecom fraud, avoiding illegal online loans, and protecting personal financial information, with detailed explanations of common scams like “rebate for fake orders” and “impostor customer service refunds.”
At the Jimo branch, staff also focused on couriers and food delivery workers, using case studies and on-site interactions to emphasize telecom fraud prevention and personal information protection, reminding everyone not to casually disclose ID numbers, bank card details, or verification codes, and to stay away from “zero-threshold, high-return” investment traps.
“Fraud seemed distant before, but after listening, I realize scammers are everywhere,” said a courier, sighing. “From now on, I’ll be more careful with payments and keep my hard-earned money safe.”
Learning Finance at the Park Fair:
Knowledge and Prizes Combined
On March 6th, at Dabaodao Cultural Square, crowds gathered for the second Sugar Ball Festival. Postal Savings Bank of China Qingdao Laoshan Branch participated in the park fair, integrating convenient services, social security science popularization, financial education, and anti-fraud publicity. Through fun interactions, one-stop services, and close-to-home assistance, they enhanced citizens’ awareness of financial safety.
The event featured interactive zones and convenient service areas, combining traditional games like pitch-pot and financial quizzes with financial literacy promotion. Staff explained core knowledge such as the eight rights of financial consumers, personal information protection, and telecom fraud prevention, using real cases to remind citizens to stay vigilant and safeguard important information like bank cards and verification codes.
“Not only can we play games and learn, but we can also get prizes—people love activities like this!” said Ms. Li, who brought her grandson to participate, smiling broadly.
Bringing Financial Knowledge to the Community:
Delivering Financial Education to “Doorsteps”
On March 9th, during the Ma Lian Zhuang Town rural market day in Laixi City, Postal Savings Bank of China Laixi Ma Lian Zhuang Branch conducted consumer rights protection publicity, bringing clear financial concepts and secure consumption guarantees directly to the community.
Staff set up promotional service stations in busy market areas to educate the public on online financial security, enhancing their ability to identify scams. Special focus was given to the elderly, explaining scams like “online pension investments” and “fake health product sales,” warning against trusting high-yield promises and protecting their retirement savings. For shops and vendors, they promoted personal information protection and channels for financial consumer rights protection.
Meanwhile, at the 29th Spring Festival Folk Art Performance in Pingdu City, the Pingdu Branch of Postal Savings Bank, together with the Pingdu Financial Supervision Bureau and other financial institutions, used the event to carry out consumer protection publicity, distributing anti-fraud leaflets to performers and audiences, guiding rational investment, and raising awareness of pension protection, encouraging residents to resist telecom fraud and illegal fundraising.
Moving forward, Postal Savings Bank of China Qingdao Branch will continue to deepen the “financial for the people” philosophy, focus on citizens’ financial needs, expand more down-to-earth publicity scenarios, normalize consumer protection campaigns, extend service outreach, and provide warmer, more impactful, and precise financial services to effectively safeguard residents’ “money bags,” contributing to a safe, healthy, and harmonious financial environment.
