# Ten Years of Crypto Tears and Wisdom: Survive First, Then Talk About Profits

After ten years in crypto, from going all-in to crying while cutting losses at midnight, from blindly following rumors to obsessively believing in certain coins, blowing through six figures in savings, stepping into countless pits of pig-butchering scams, fake breakouts, and shitcoins, I finally see clearly:

Crypto has never been about who makes money fastest, but who lasts the longest.

It's not that constant chart-watching leads to profits, nor that leveraged bets lead to riches.

The root cause of most losses comes down to just three things: can't control your hands, can't read the trend, can't guard your mind.

These 10 rules are survival principles I've paid for in real money. I'm sharing them with everyone still struggling in crypto:

1. Don't enter positions you don't understand. Never make panic trades out of "fear of missing out." Emotion-driven moves lose 9 out of 10 times.

2. Stop loss unconditionally at 15% loss on any coin. Never fight the market. Once your principal is gone, no opportunity matters anymore.

3. Heavy positions are a death sentence. Single coin positions never exceed 30%. Diversification isn't cowardice—it's leaving your capital a way out.

4. Small-time tips, group chats, influencer recommendations—treat them all as reverse indicators. Real opportunities never come with hype.

5. Avoid futures if you can. The rush from leverage eventually becomes the agony of liquidation. 90% of people fail here.

6. Don't get greedy in bull runs. Take profits in batches at 30%+ gains. Stop fantasizing about selling at the peak. Banking profits is real profit.

7. Don't blindly chase bottoms in bear markets. Without clear volume reversal signals, never go all-in. Catching falling knives mid-slide is the most painful lesson.

8. Stay away from dog coins and shitcoins. No matter how extreme the gains look, they're all bait. They want your principal, not to help you.

9. Trade no more than 2 times daily. Frequent trading = frequent fees + frequent mistakes. Patience beats reckless action every time.

10. Only invest with spare money. Never borrow, never gamble living expenses, never mortgage assets. Investing is a bonus, not a life-or-death bet.

To all crypto friends, I want to say:

The highest skill in crypto isn't making huge profits—it's holding cash, waiting, cutting losses, and taking gains.

When the market is quiet, staying in cash beats 90% of people. When opportunities aren't clear, holding back is your biggest profit.

We're not born masters. We just lost enough to learn to respect the market and keep our capital safe.

In this cruel market, survival first, then profit. We're all in this together.
