European Parliament Resumes Efforts to Approve the EU-US Trade Agreement

People’s Financial News, March 19 — According to reports, on March 19 local time, the European Parliament’s International Trade Committee voted 29 in favor to resume the legislative approval process related to the EU-U.S. trade agreement. Despite the recent initiation of a new investigation by the U.S. into EU trade policies, which could lead to additional tariffs, European Parliament members have decided to continue with the process, provided that the U.S. complies with the trade agreement terms reached last summer, including setting a 15% tariff cap on most EU exports.
