SBF Political Donations Become Attack Tool, AI Industry Super PAC Targets "Pro-Regulation" Candidates Alex Bores
Super PAC supporting the AI industry is using former FTX founder SBF’s previous political donations as ammunition to attack New York State Congress candidate Alex Bores. It is reported that Alex Bores previously proposed a regulatory bill in the state legislature requiring major AI companies to release safety data. In response, AI industry attack ads explicitly state that Bores was supported by groups funded by “convicted felon Sam Bankman-Fried,” questioning his qualifications to shape AI safety policies.
