An Iraqi security official revealed that an unidentified airstrike occurred early this morning in Kirkuk Province, northern Iraq, resulting in the death of at least six members and injuries to three members of the Iraqi militia group “Popular Mobilization Forces.” The Security Media Cell under the Iraqi Joint Operations Command issued a statement saying the attack took place in the Dibs area of Kirkuk Province and targeted members of the “Popular Mobilization Forces.” The statement condemned the attack as “horrific,” stating that it was not only an attack on specific units or command centers but also a blatant assault on Iraq.
