Apple Watch Redesign Doesn’t Infringe Patents, Early Ruling Says
A US trade judge has issued an early ruling stating that a redesigned Apple Watch does not infringe on two patents held by Masimo Corp. This decision could pave the way for Apple to resume imports of the device, overturning a previous ban from 2023, if the full agency upholds the ruling. The administrative law judge found that Apple’s “Redesign 2 Watch” neither directly infringes nor induces infringement of the specified patents.
