Apple announced the new Studio Display series monitors last night, designed to perfectly complement Mac. The standard version starts at 11,999 RMB, and the XDR professional display begins at 24,999 RMB.

IT House notes that the new Studio Display and Studio Display XDR not only upgrade display performance but also make new attempts in eco-friendly design.

According to Apple, the packaging of these two monitors features a foldable design, allowing users to easily disassemble it into smaller pieces that can be conveniently placed into most household recycling bins.

The design of the Studio Display aims to reduce environmental impact, with its stand made from 100% recycled aluminum. The standard glass display contains 80% recycled glass — a first for Apple. The fully fiber-based packaging has been extensively redesigned to be foldable, enabling it to be broken down into smaller fragments suitable for most household recycling bins.

It’s worth noting that the 80% recycled glass target applies only to the standard glass models of the Studio Display, excluding the upgraded anti-reflective nano-texture glass version.

Through these packaging improvements, Apple hopes to reduce the environmental burden of transporting and recycling large electronic products. The foldable packaging design ensures that users won’t have to worry about how to handle the large boxes upon receiving the product.
