The FBI has shut down two websites run by the Iran-linked hacktivist group Handala following a cyberattack on medical device supplier Stryker. The group, known for targeting critical sectors, compromised Stryker’s Microsoft Intune controls to wipe devices, causing shipping delays for patient implant devices. In response, CISA issued guidance urging organizations to secure endpoint systems with multi-factor authentication and multi-admin approvals.
