Hong Kong Airlines to Raise Fuel Surcharge Starting on the 12th

The instability in the Middle East has caused international oil prices to continue rising. Hong Kong Airlines will increase its fuel surcharge starting from the 12th. The fuel surcharge for flights from Hong Kong to mainland China will rise from HKD 185 to HKD 190. The surcharge for flights to Japan will increase by HKD 50. The fuel surcharge for flights from Hong Kong to destinations such as Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and Singapore will rise from HKD 162 to HKD 212, an increase of HKD 50. The fee for flights from Japan back to Hong Kong remains unchanged at JPY 7,000 (approximately HKD 346). Long-haul flights to the Southwest Pacific, North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa will see the highest increase, with fees rising from HKD 589 to HKD 739, an increase of HKD 150.
