Apple Launches F1 Formula Racing Promotional Content on Apple Maps for Overseas Users: Includes 3D Race Tracks, Viewing Guides, and More
Apple News, February 26 — In recent years, Apple has actively partnered with Formula 1 racing, including releasing the “F1 Speed Racer” movie and exclusively streaming the 2026 F1 season on Apple TV. Now, Apple is taking it a step further by launching a series of promotional content for the 2026 F1 season in the overseas version of Apple Maps.
According to reports, when users view F1 race locations on the map, they will notice that Apple has quietly upgraded the track maps for certain regions. These include the Albert Park Circuit in Melbourne, the Miami International Autodrome in Florida, the Gilles Villeneuve Circuit in Montreal, the Monaco Circuit, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain, the Red Bull Ring in Austria, and Silverstone in the UK. Users can see 3D models of the race tracks and watch small F1 car models moving back and forth on the tracks within the map.
Additionally, Apple Maps has launched a 2026 F1 race viewing guide, which users can access by scrolling down to the “Explore More” section in the F1 channel on the Apple TV app.
According to external media outlet AppleInsider, this move by Apple is full of innovation and fun, but some users may consider such content to be inappropriate “soft advertising.”
