Shanghai Securities News China Securities Network News (Reporter Wang Peng) — On March 17, the Boshi ChiNext ETF showed unusual activity at the close, with a gain of 20.03%, and a total daily trading volume of 6.4 million yuan.

Choice data shows that as of March 16, the Boshi ChiNext ETF had 250 million shares outstanding. Based on the March 16 closing net asset value of 1.155 yuan, the ETF’s total size is approximately 289 million yuan.

Regarding the unusual activity of the Boshi ChiNext ETF at the close, third-party analysts told Shanghai Securities News that, based on past cases, such ETFs are usually small in size and have poor liquidity, so a small amount of capital can significantly boost the price. Given that today’s trading volume was only 6.4 million yuan, it is possible that a trader made a “fat finger” error during the closing auction, entering an incorrect price. Additionally, this could also be a normal market behavior where some funds, in a relatively illiquid environment, inadvertently caused a sharp price fluctuation.
