The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the State Administration for Market Regulation jointly held a symposium with new energy vehicle industry companies to deploy key tasks such as further regulating the competitive order of the new energy vehicle industry, enhancing industry innovation capabilities, expanding automobile consumption, and optimizing industry management. Responsible persons from 17 key automobile companies and other units also attended the meeting.

The meeting proposed four requirements: First, consolidate and deepen the effectiveness of regulating industry competition order, strengthen price monitoring and cost investigations, study the regulation of automotive financial policies, normalize and institutionalize the rectification of online chaos in the industry, and supervise companies to strictly implement the 60-day payment commitment.

Second, implement a new round of high-quality development actions for key industrial chains, accelerate addressing shortfalls in automotive chips, basic software, and other areas, promote expanded application scales, and iteratively improve quality and performance; accelerate breakthroughs in autonomous driving technology, optimize access pilot procedures, and expedite the formulation of relevant standards to create favorable conditions for large-scale mass production.

Third, thoroughly implement special actions to boost consumption, solidly promote vehicle replacement programs, promote large-scale application of new energy heavy trucks, develop and release policy documents to promote healthy development of the vehicle modification market, and fully stimulate market consumption potential; improve financial credit services, strengthen international logistics and transportation guarantees, and support automobile export trade and overseas development.

Fourth, improve the institutional system, accelerate the legislative process for the “Motor Vehicle Production Access Management Regulations,” establish and improve an open, scientific, and efficient governance system for the automotive industry; strengthen risk identification, strictly control product access, enhance production consistency supervision and inspection, and safeguard product quality and safety.
