By midday, the Shanghai Composite Index fell 0.95% to 4,024.23 points, the Shenzhen Component Index dropped 1.11%, the ChiNext Index decreased 0.11%, and the Beijing Securities 50 Index declined 2.21%. The half-day trading volume for the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing markets was 1.3148 trillion yuan, an increase of 65.3 billion yuan compared to the previous day.
