Annual GDP Expected to Grow 5%, Total Volume to Reach 140 Trillion Yuan

On July 27, visitors at the 2025 World Artificial Intelligence Conference exhibition in Shanghai visited the Huawei booth to see the Ascend 384 super node.

The Central Economic Work Conference was held in Beijing from December 10 to 11. A relevant official from the Central Financial Office stated that the annual economic growth is expected to be around 5%, continuing to rank among the top major economies in the world, with the total economic volume projected to reach about 140 trillion yuan. Overall employment remains stable, foreign trade is growing rapidly, and the results of export diversification are evident. Looking ahead to 2026, active factor flows and innovation will continuously inject new momentum into development. The flow of people, logistics, information, and capital will maintain a relatively rapid growth trend. Investment and consumption are expected to recover, industrial transformation and upgrading will accelerate, and technological and industrial innovation will enter a phase of concentrated breakthroughs. The prospects for China’s economic development are very bright.
