The US Department of Homeland Security "shutdown" causes long lines at airport security checks, making people doubt their lives.
Due to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s “shutdown,” some airports in the United States have experienced long security lines in the past two days. At certain airports, travelers have had to wait two to three hours, lining up from security checkpoints to outside the terminals. Many people are saying they are “fed up.” According to the Associated Press on the 9th, major hubs like Houston, Atlanta, and New Orleans experienced long security lines on the 8th and 9th. What used to take only about ten minutes now takes several hours. At Houston William P. Hobby Airport, security checks can take over three hours; at New Orleans International Airport, the long lines even extend outside the terminal, winding into the parking lot. Airports recommend travelers arrive at least four hours early. (Shangguan News)
