China Construction Bank Lianyungang Branch Financial Knowledge Promotion Enters High-Speed Railway Station
(Source: Xinhua Daily)
On March 12, China Construction Bank Lianyungang Branch, in cooperation with the Lianyungang Banking Association, held a financial literacy awareness event titled “Clear and Bright Financial Networks, Protecting Peace of Mind in Consumption” at the underground parking lot entrance of Lianyungang High-Speed Rail Station.
At the scene, staff from China Construction Bank Lianyungang Branch and the Banking Association set up a consultation booth in advance. Eye-catching posters with the event theme and detailed informational leaflets were neatly arranged. They focused on common methods of online financial scams, safe use of bank cards, personal information protection, and how to identify fake financial products. The staff provided face-to-face explanations to taxi drivers, security guards, cleaners, and others. Using recent typical cases of telecom and online scams, they explained in simple language how scams like fake online loans, rebate schemes, and impersonating customer service operate, and shared prevention tips. They patiently answered questions from the public about mobile banking security, maintaining personal credit reports, and proper use of consumer loans, ensuring financial safety knowledge was deeply understood.
Given the wide contact and high mobility of taxi drivers, a special outreach segment was arranged for them. Staff divided into groups and visited taxi stands near the high-speed rail station, distributing portable financial literacy brochures to waiting drivers. They tailored the explanations to the drivers’ work and daily life, emphasizing safe in-vehicle online payments, avoiding misleading fake financial information, and recognizing street scams. The staff also issued a call to taxi drivers, inviting them to become “mobile financial literacy ambassadors” who share safety tips with passengers during their daily operations, helping extend financial awareness to every corner of the city.
