Deep Tide TechFlow News, March 19 — According to Cointelegraph, the Northern District of California Federal Court recently dismissed Coinbase user Roger Metz’s attempt to block an IRS subpoena. Metz filed a lawsuit in May 2025, claiming that the IRS’s demand for Coinbase to produce financial records related to the 2022 tax audit violated privacy rights and procedural rules. He also stated that he had identified errors and paid additional taxes before the subpoena was issued. The court dismissed the case due to Metz not notifying the U.S. Attorney General within 90 days, citing insufficient service of process, but allowed him to refile the application in the future.
