Hong Kong stock market closing: The Hang Seng Index fell by 1.44%, and the Hang Seng Tech Index dropped by 2.87%
Hong Kong stocks closed lower, with the Hang Seng Index down 1.44% and the Hang Seng Tech Index down 2.87%. The Hang Seng Hong Kong Stock Connect ETF Yinhua (159318) fell 0.71%, and the Hong Kong Stock Connect Technology ETF Penghua (159751) dropped 2.2%. In terms of sectors, communication equipment and electrical equipment led gains; pharmaceuticals and life sciences tools saw the largest declines. Among individual stocks, Tianzhi Zhixin rose 20.27%, Dongfang Electric increased 15.52%, Hongteng Precision Technology gained 11.48%, Chongqing Mechanical and Electrical rose 11.15%, Guofu Quantum increased 9.91%; Zhongsheng Holdings fell 10.76%, Junda Co. dropped 9.32%, China Innovation航 declined 9.26%, BeiGene fell 9.16%, WuXi AppTec declined 8.69%.
