The European Union confirms that the U.S. social media platform X has paid a fine of 120 million euros.

ChainCatcher News: Thomas Rénier, spokesperson for the European Commission responsible for digital economy affairs, confirmed that the U.S. social media platform X has paid the €120 million fine issued by the EU last December before the deadline and has submitted a rectification plan for its “Blue Check” verification feature.

The spokesperson also stated that although X has paid the relevant fine, they are still appealing the penalty.
