Microsoft has agreed to pay its full share of property taxes for its LaPorte data center project, significantly benefiting the LaPorte Community School Corporation. This new agreement replaces a previous deal that offered Microsoft a 100-percent abatement on personal property taxes. The decision follows Microsoft’s announcement in January that it would no longer seek local tax breaks for new projects.
