Alibaba, has made a move!
【Introduction】Alibaba to Launch Enterprise AI Flagship Application, Expanding Competition in AI Agent Market
On March 16, industry insiders revealed that Alibaba is expected to launch a new enterprise-level AI Agent application as early as this week. Developed by the DingTalk team, the app aims to provide more powerful Agent capabilities than OpenClaw, not only assisting companies in automating operations on computers, browsers, and cloud servers but also featuring built-in security functions to protect corporate data privacy.
It is also reported that Alibaba plans to gradually integrate other B2B services under its group, including Taobao, Alipay, and Alibaba Cloud, into this AI Agent product. However, due to undisclosed commercial plans, sources requested anonymity.
Currently, details about how Alibaba will charge enterprise customers and the level of integration between this tool and existing internal services at launch remain unknown. Alibaba has not responded to requests for comment regarding this news.
Industry experts say that the launch of this latest product highlights Alibaba’s steady investment and strategic layout in building a comprehensive AI service ecosystem. Currently, “agent-type AI” that helps users purchase products or manage emails, like OpenClaw, is extremely popular. Alibaba’s move is clearly a positive response to this market trend.
It is worth noting that Alibaba will release its latest quarterly financial report this Thursday. Previously, CEO Daniel Zhang explicitly identified “General Artificial Intelligence (AGI)” as the company’s top priority, and last year, he pledged to invest over $53 billion in AI.
Despite this, Alibaba’s AI-related business has still achieved strong triple-digit growth. Historically, Alibaba’s AI and cloud computing solutions mainly focused on the enterprise side (ToB). It wasn’t until last year that the company reintroduced the Qianwen app for consumers. Just this month, Alibaba also became one of the first Chinese tech companies to launch the OpenClaw app for smartphone users, further accelerating its deployment of AI applications.
AI Agents are gradually becoming one of the largest testing grounds in China’s AI field. The enterprise-level intelligent agent launched by Alibaba will undoubtedly become a key weapon in its fight for the B2B AI market.
