According to Qichacha data, as of March 16, there are 12,900 small loan-related companies in China.
In terms of registration volume, from 2023 to 2025, the number of small loan-related companies has declined for three consecutive years, with 44 new registrations in 2025, a 58.5% decrease year-on-year. So far this year, only 5 companies have been registered.
Regarding existing companies, in terms of registered capital, most small loan-related companies are capital-intensive, with over 80% having a registered capital of over 10 million yuan. Among them, 65.70% have a registered capital of 50 million yuan or more, and 21.77% have between 10 million and 50 million yuan.
In terms of operational duration, the majority of related companies have been established for over 10 years, accounting for 84.92%. The next largest group is companies established 5-10 years ago, accounting for 9.46%.
