Kin To Group announces a rights issue following its earnings release. The parent company, Kin To Group (00148), announced the placement of up to 130 million shares of Kin To Laminates (01888), representing 4.2% of the issued share capital. The placement price is HKD 21, a 8.7% discount to the previous day’s closing price of HKD 23. Kin To Laminates’ share price once dropped 8%, reaching HKD 21.8, but still remained above the rights issue price. Kin To slightly rose against the market trend. Analysts believe the company’s outlook will continue to benefit from the AI boom.

Fang Zeqiao, Investment Manager at GuoNong Securities Research Department, said in our video program “ET Market Opening” : “Looking at its main clients now, they are NVIDIA (US: NVDA), AMD (US: AMD), Intel (US: INTC), these AI-related companies, which use a lot of their components… I think this year, because AI is very hot, there is a chance to benefit from this trend, so I am quite optimistic about Kin To Laminates.”

He pointed out, “Its current forecasted P/E ratio is around 18 times. I don’t think it’s very expensive. If the stock price approaches HKD 20, I believe it offers a good value opportunity. You can keep an eye on it.”

The company announced on Monday that half-year profits increased by 84%, and it also paid a special dividend, with a final dividend plus special dividend totaling HKD 0.53. Based on today’s midday closing price, the annual dividend yield is 3.08%. The ex-dividend date is June 11, and the dividend will be paid on July 7.
