GTC Conference Brings Trillion-Dollar AI Catalyst, Telecom ETF (515880) Opens Up Over 1.5%, Yesterday Net Inflow of Funds Exceeded 760 Million Yuan
GTC Conference Sparks Trillion-Dollar AI Boom, on March 18, the Communication ETF (515880) opened up over 1.5%, with a net capital inflow of over 760 million yuan yesterday.
On March 16, Beijing time, NVIDIA’s GTC 2026 Conference officially opened. Founder and CEO Jensen Huang delivered a keynote speech, showcasing the grand blueprint of the AI computing industry to the world. Huang explicitly stated that by 2027, there will be at least one trillion dollars of high-confidence demand.
Relevant institutions indicated that the conference displayed three CPO switches. Huang emphasized that optical interconnection will be used in Scale Up, and clearly stated that both copper and optical options will be available. This statement completely dispelled market concerns over the “copper retreat, optical advance” debate, and the value of optical modules is expected to continue rising.
Mass production of CPO switches is underway. The conference showcased three CPO switches: SN6800, SN6810, Q3450, among others. Huang highlighted that optical interconnection will be used in Scale Up. This is the world’s first mass-produced integrated optical switch, marking the official transition of CPO technology from laboratory experiments to large-scale commercial use.
Looking beyond 2027, the AI wave continues to drive demand for computing power, with optical components inside cabinets and CPO technology steadily expanding the optical market size. The core components of the Communication ETF (515880)—including optical modules, servers, fiber optics, and copper connections—have a combined weight of over 75%, reflecting the fundamental prosperity of overseas computing power. The secondary market saw a 125.81% increase in 2025. In 2026, amid this historic AI opportunity, strong performance is expected to continue. Interested investors are advised to keep a close watch.
Note: Data source: China Securities Index Co., Ltd., Wind, as of March 17, 2025. The Communication ETF’s scale is 15.498 billion yuan, ranking first among 15 similar products.
