Ministry of Commerce: Including Japanese entities in the export control and monitoring list is completely legitimate, reasonable, and lawful.
The Ministry of Commerce held a routine press conference on February 26. When answering questions about export controls to Japan, spokesperson He Yongqian said that recently, Japan has accelerated its military buildup, pushed to lift restrictions on arms exports, developed offensive military forces, and sought to amend the “Three Non-Nuclear Principles.” This reflects Japan’s dangerous trend of accelerating “re-militarization” and nuclear ambitions, posing a threat to regional and global peace. As a responsible major country, China has always actively fulfilled its international non-proliferation obligations. On February 24, China added relevant Japanese entities to the export control and concern lists to prevent Japan’s “re-militarization” and nuclear ambitions, which is entirely legitimate, reasonable, and lawful.
