Full margin long position on new energy, huge losses!
Whenever I am very cautious and stick to the principle of taking profits and running, I often miss out on various opportunities. The day before yesterday, I sold Feitianhua prematurely, and it continued to hit the daily limit yesterday. Yesterday morning, I sold ShunNa shares early, and it hit the limit in the afternoon. I regret it deeply. This has led to high expectations for GCL System Integration. This morning, it was repeatedly pushed up, but I couldn’t bring myself to sell. According to past experience, if it underperforms, or if it doesn’t quickly rise at the start, or if there isn’t a big order pushing it up during the rise, I usually just exit without losing money. The experience of selling ShunNa yesterday is still fresh in my mind. I held on a bit longer for GCL System Integration, but funds cashed out. Ultimately, I decided to exit to avoid being too passive. If it doesn’t rise in the afternoon and continues to fall, I would be at a disadvantage. So I made a decisive exit to lose less! Yesterday, I saw comments on the GCL Dragon and Tiger list; most investors believe it’s the only active stock worth watching. Major funds are gathering here, while others are dominated by quantitative trading. Today, Guosheng Technology plunged sharply. GCL System Integration was on the list of active funds yesterday. Who will step in now? During the session, there was no movement in the aerospace sector, which had little impact on GCL System Integration. Of course, it’s also possible that some big investors are waiting for other funds to cut losses, and at a certain point in the afternoon, they push the stock up. According to fund logic, this is a natural choice—wait for other big funds to finish cutting, digest the shares, and then lift the stock easily. This is also one of the considerations. The weak performance of the index makes funds more cautious!
After exiting GCL, I switched to Jinkai New Energy. During the early trading session, its power sector was the top gainer, with ShaoNeng Shares and Guangdong Power A hitting the daily limit in one go. China Power International LiaoNeng was also opened at the limit. Yesterday’s power sector was one of the main themes in the morning. Jinkai New Energy’s rapid rise, along with GCL Energy Technology’s increase, confirmed the power sector’s strength. Early in the session, major funds rushed in, and the big players re-entered the market! Although it broke the limit, there’s still a chance for a rebound in the afternoon!
The market shifts daily, and sector rotation is unsustainable. The difficulty of ultra-short-term trading increases. On the same day, top core stocks that hit the limit the first day often don’t have premiums the next day. Naturally, this makes breakout operations very challenging, with high uncertainty. The best strategy is to stay in cash and wait for opportunities!
