Xi'an Institute Director: AI Technology Innovation Cycle Faces Narrative Competition, But Application Cycle Has Just Begun

Director Zhao Jian of Xijing Research Institute stated that the current global AI technological innovation faces narrative divergence, but its application cycle has just begun. Although the bull market cycles in the US and Chinese markets show signs of fatigue, overall resilience remains strong, especially in China. While AI company valuations are entering a weak phase of bubble burst, the valuation cycle of “AI + industry” needs rebalancing, and AI innovation’s “learning by doing” and technological spillover effects will drive industry empowerment. Zhao Jian believes that the market needs new narratives to stimulate growth, and macro allocation should focus on upstream technology and cycle shifts, with value sectors serving as defensive strategies.
