On the 13th, it was announced on Apple’s developer official website that, following discussions with Chinese regulatory authorities, Apple will reduce the commission rates for mobile and tablet operating systems in the Chinese App Store.

The standard commission rate for in-app purchases and paid apps will be lowered from the current 30% to 25%. The commission rate for eligible apps under the Apple Small Business Program and Mini Apps Partner Program, as well as the automatic renewal subscription commission rate after the first year, will be reduced from 15% to 12%.

The adjustment will take effect from March 15, 2026, and developers will not need to re-sign any terms.

Apple stated that it is committed to maintaining fair and transparent terms for all developers and will always offer competitive App Store rates in China that are not higher than the overall rates in other markets.
