Deep Tide TechFlow News, March 13 — According to Cointelegraph, SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce delivered a speech at the SEC Investor Advisory Committee on Thursday, calling for regulators to simplify disclosure requirements for publicly traded companies and promote an “innovative exemption” mechanism for tokenized securities.

Peirce pointed out that companies spend significant resources preparing mandatory disclosure documents, but these often fail to effectively improve investors’ access to information and may even lead to information concealment. She believes regulators should avoid excessive market intervention.

Regarding tokenized securities, Peirce stated that SEC staff are actively researching a potential “innovative exemption” mechanism to allow limited experimental exploration of tokenized securities during the evaluation period under current securities laws. She also noted that blockchain systems have the potential to enable faster settlement and reduce reliance on traditional intermediaries in certain scenarios.
