Goodbye to "U": Cambrian Technology Achieves Its First Profit Exceeding 2 Billion Yuan, Dropping the "U" Label Starting March 16
On March 12, Cambrian (688256) announced that the company achieved its first profit in 2025, with a net profit attributable to shareholders of 2.059 billion yuan, and a net profit attributable to shareholders after deducting non-recurring gains and losses of 1.77 billion yuan.
According to relevant regulations, the company meets the criteria of “a company that was unprofitable at the time of listing but has achieved its first profit,” and therefore, it has decided to cancel the special stock symbol U on March 16, 2026. The stock abbreviation will change from “Cambrian-U” to “Cambrian,” while the A-share stock code 688256 remains unchanged.
The company was listed on the STAR Market on July 20, 2020. Previously, due to a net loss attributable to shareholders of -1.179 billion yuan in 2019, it was classified as a STAR Market growth enterprise, and its stock abbreviation was displayed as “Cambrian-U” at the time of listing. This profit achievement marks a significant improvement in the company’s financial condition and meets the criteria for moving out of the STAR Market growth tier.
