The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that Russian air defense forces recently shot down two British-made “Storm Shadow” cruise missiles.

Russian Presidential Press Secretary Peskov also said that the Ukrainian military’s use of “Storm Shadow” to attack Bryansk is not possible without the involvement of British experts, and Russia has taken into account the UK’s participation in striking Russian territory.

Bryansk Governor reported that the attack resulted in 7 civilians killed and 42 injured. Moscow called the attack a terrorist act. The Russian Embassy in the UK condemned the UK’s involvement in the recent escalation of the Ukraine situation.

British officials told The Kyiv Independent that the Kremlin’s accusations are unfounded.
