Last week's EIA crude oil inventories surged by approximately 16 million barrels, far exceeding expectations of 2 million barrels.

Last week, U.S. EIA crude oil inventories increased by 15.989 million barrels, compared to an expected increase of 2.025 million barrels, and the previous decrease of 9.014 million barrels.
