Odaily Planet Daily reports that TON has announced the cancellation of the Gateway Ecosystem Conference originally scheduled for May 1-2, 2026, in Dubai, citing escalating Middle East tensions and security risks in the UAE. TON stated, “This is a difficult decision, but the safety and well-being of community members always come first.” The event was planned to bring together builders and developers from the TON ecosystem. Due to impacts from U.S. and Israeli airstrikes on Iran and Iran’s missile and drone attacks on the UAE, serious travel disruptions have occurred in Dubai and surrounding areas. TON is considering hosting the Gateway event later this year through other formats. (The Block)
