Brazil Soybean Export Prices Rise, Increasing China's Import Costs

On March 2nd, the CNF premium/discount quotes for Brazil soybeans shipped in April and May to China were 112 cents/bushel and 125 cents/bushel, respectively, unchanged from the same period last week; CNF prices were $471/ton and $475/ton, up $7–8/ton compared to the same period last week; the landed and taxed cost in South China was 3,761 RMB/ton and 3,792 RMB/ton, respectively, an increase of 45–53 RMB/ton from the same period last week.
