Odaily Planet Daily reports that as the popularity of OpenClaw AI agents continues to rise, the “Lobster Installation Fever” has also driven up prices and caused shortages in related hardware markets. At a second-hand electronics wholesale stall in Huaqiangbei Electronics World, Shenzhen, a reporter saw five or six groups of customers in just 20 minutes asking about hardware compatible with the OpenClaw installation environment. One consumer said, “I specifically came from Guizhou today just to buy a ‘Lobster’ mainframe box. I visited several stores, but they are all out of stock, and prices are continuously rising.” The reporter visited multiple second-hand wholesalers, all of whom reported shortages. “There are quite a few people asking, but the key issue is no stock. It used to be over 3,000 yuan, and now it seems to be up by 1,000 yuan.” (CCTV Finance)
