Yuantan on Yuyuan: China Uses Watch List System for the First Time, Three Points Worth Noting

The Ministry of Commerce has implemented a watchlist measure, with three points worth noting: First, it is the first time to implement the watchlist system, opening a new path for precise export control in China. Second, strict prohibitions are applied to entities on the control list, demonstrating a firm stance against Japan’s “re-militarization” and nuclear ambitions. Third, this measure is an upgraded version of Announcement No. 1. Currently, globalization is facing headwinds, and regional security risks are increasing, but China’s toolkit is also rapidly expanding. In response to actions that infringe on China’s legitimate interests, China will always be prepared to retaliate. (Yuyuantan Tian)
