JPMorgan Chase and UBS terminate prime brokerage services for Infini Capital

Founded by former Morgan Stanley banker Qian Tao, the hedge fund Infini Capital is under investigation by the Independent Commission Against Corruption and the Securities and Futures Commission. Bloomberg citing sources reports that JPMorgan Chase and UBS had already “distanced themselves” and severed their prime brokerage relationships with Infini Capital months before the authorities announced their investigation.

The report notes that it is unclear whether JPMorgan Chase and UBS have ceased all dealings with Infini Capital beyond prime brokerage services.
