Disney hands global communications reins to 25-year insider

The Walt Disney Company has appointed Paul Roeder as its new Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Communications Officer, effective March 19. A 25-year Disney veteran, Roeder will lead the company’s worldwide communications and public relations strategy, reporting directly to incoming CEO Josh D’Amaro. He previously oversaw communications for Disney Entertainment Studios, Direct-to-Consumer, and International, playing a key role in major acquisitions and film releases.
