1. Today’s Market Analysis and Tomorrow’s Trading Strategy
Today, the major indices opened lower and fluctuated down 0.1%, with the Shenzhen market even weaker, led by a 1% drop in the ChiNext Index. Coal, electricity, and chemical sectors performed relatively strongly, while industrial mother machines, military industry + commercial aerospace, gas turbines, diamond, liquid cooling, and communications weakened. Less than 30% of stocks rose, with 52 limit-ups, including 2 one-word limit-ups, and 23 stocks hit limit-downs. There were 2 limit-downs and 118 stocks down more than 5%.
The market experienced震荡调整 (oscillating adjustment). Although the main index took a hit during the session, it remained relatively stable at close, while individual stocks generally declined. The key reason for the market’s sluggishness is that the index is kept stable to prevent risks from being fully released, causing many funds to hesitate from attacking. In fact, there are now frequent situations where the index doesn’t fall, but individual stocks decline across the board. When stocks fall sharply, especially to low emotional points, rebounds are usually easy. However, the stable index makes the market hesitant, increasingly fake and chaotic. The index may stage a phased consolidation near 4000 points, while individual stocks need to watch for long-term structural divergence and large fluctuations.
Recently, electricity has shown some persistence, but it’s not a main theme because the internal rotation is very fast. Many stocks are trading in a snake-like manner. After two days of rising, the sector’s heat may face divergence and large swings at any time. Currently, after a hot theme, investors should proceed cautiously; rotation is the main theme. Every day, there are rapid rotations across numerous sectors, as well as within sectors. When to buy what depends heavily on randomness. For example, yesterday’s energy storage and today’s wind power themes have existed for a few days, but only gained momentum recently, entirely driven by quantification. Today, the market was dragged down by tech stocks like computing power chains, including both overseas and domestic chains. There should be a recovery tomorrow. The strength or weakness of the current ecosystem is relative; many opportunities come from buying after declines and selling after rises. Relying on rising prices to call for a rally can easily be exploited in reverse. Overall, the main upward opportunities are sparse, and most require precise timing, making short-term trading currently difficult.
