New Teledyne 5D camera lets robots and checkout lanes see in 3D

Teledyne e2v has launched the Perciva™ 5D camera, a short-range 3D imaging camera designed for industrial, retail, and robotic applications. This camera uses Angular Sensitive Pixel technology and an on-board Neural Processing Unit (NPU) to provide occlusion-free 3D depth maps and time-aligned 2D frames from a single CMOS sensor. It operates in ambient light, weighs 230g, consumes less than 5W, and is built for challenging environments with an IP6x-rated housing.
