Adidas Group Extends CEO Term Through 2030
Recently, adidas AG’s Supervisory Board approved personnel decisions by the Executive Board and Supervisory Board to maintain leadership continuity and support profit growth.
Executive Board arrangement: The Supervisory Board extended CEO Bjørn Gulden’s term until December 31, 2030, effective from January 1, 2023; at the same time, it extended the term of Michelle Robertson, Head of Global Human Resources, People & Culture, until December 31, 2031.
Supervisory Board adjustments: The company’s 2026 Annual General Meeting will be held on May 7 at Stadthalle Fürth in Nuremberg, Germany. The Supervisory Board proposes re-electing Nassef Sawiris and Ian Gallienne as Supervisory Board members for a three-year term, and nominates Mathias Döpfner, CEO of Axel Springer SE, as a new Supervisory Board member. After the meeting, Nassef Sawiris will succeed Thomas Rabe as Supervisory Board Chairman, with Rabe’s term expiring as scheduled.
Nassef Sawiris has been a member of adidas AG’s Supervisory Board since 2016 and has served as Vice Chairman since 2025; Thomas Rabe has been a Supervisory Board member since 2019 and has served as Supervisory Board Chairman since August 2020.
