【Accenture Acquires Speedtest Parent Company Ookla for $1.2 Billion】

ChainCatcher reports that, according to market sources, Ziff Davis has agreed to sell its Connectivity division to Accenture for $1.2 billion in cash. The division includes Ookla's Speedtest app, Downdetector, Ekahau, and RootMetrics. After the deal is completed, Ziff Davis will focus on vertical media such as IGN and Mashable, as well as businesses like Everyday Health. The Connectivity division generated approximately $231 million in revenue in 2025, accounting for about 16% of Ziff Davis's total revenue. Ziff Davis stated that the proceeds from the transaction will be used for general corporate purposes and capital allocation activities. Accenture said that after the acquisition, it will leverage the Ookla product portfolio to provide end-to-end network intelligence services to support its AI-related transformation business.
