Alibaba consolidates the large model brand under "Qianwen"

The Beijing News Shell Finance reported (by Luo Yidan) on March 2 that Alibaba has unified its large model B-end brand and C-end application brand under the name “Qianwen.” The Qianwen large model (Qwen) includes foundational large models and specialized domain models. The Qianwen app is Alibaba’s flagship AI application for consumers. It is understood that this move aims to avoid confusion caused by multiple names such as Qianwen, Tongyi Qianwen, and Qwen. After unification, Alibaba’s large model brand in Chinese is “Qianwen Large Model,” and in English, it is “Qwen.” “Tongyi Laboratory” is the organizational name of Alibaba Group’s AI institution.
