(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Scherba stated this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“The Embassy of Iran in South Africa sent a note to the Embassy of Ukraine about the opening of a book of condolences for the deceased ayatollah and his associates. I sent them a reply. I consider it necessary to make it public,” Scherba said.

In his letter to the Iranian ambassador, he recalled that Iran’s leaders, as military allies of the Russian Federation, have stained themselves with the blood of thousands of Ukrainian citizens killed with the help of Iranian Shahed drones and other military technology.

“Your leaders were complicit in bringing endless grief to Ukrainian civilians…I won’t express condolences for someone whose death I do not mourn,” he stated.

As Ukrinform previously reported, on February 28 the United States and Israel carried out joint strikes on regime targets in Iran. Following that, Iran attacked U.S. bases in Kuwait, the UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and Jordan.

Later, the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) confirmed that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, was killed on the morning of February 28.
