The sound of machines roaring nonstop, automated production lines operating at high speed, workers busy and orderly… During the Spring Festival, the festive atmosphere fills urban and rural streets, yet many enterprise workshops across the country remain bustling.

More than 260 companies in Ningbo and tens of thousands of employees are on the front lines of production; over 280 industrial enterprises above designated size in Luoyang maintain continuous operation, an increase of about 30 compared to 2025; approximately 90 key industrial enterprises in Tianjin operate continuously during the holiday, with an expected overall resumption rate of 86.3% on February 24… To meet orders and ensure supply, various regions are jointly painting a picture of continuous work during the Spring Festival, with diligent efforts to promote development.

Stable production and supply ensure abundant goods, stable prices, and a rich festive atmosphere.

Entering the production workshop of Sichuan Zhou Hei Ya Food Co., Ltd., the aroma is overwhelming. Automated equipment sorts, packs, and boxes each braised product, which is then continuously shipped to supermarkets and stores nationwide.

“Spring Festival is a traditional peak period for production and sales. To ensure consumers enjoy fresh and delicious products, we adopt a rotating duty system to keep the production line running nonstop,” said General Manager Zhang Chao. Recently, the daily output of “modified atmosphere fresh-keeping” products has exceeded 50,000 boxes, effectively guaranteeing supply to stores and channels in Yunnan, Guizhou, Sichuan, and Shaanxi.

More than ten production lines at Northeast Pharmaceutical are operating normally, with over a thousand employees working in shifts to ensure the supply of raw materials; State Grid employees, totaling 189,000, are on the front lines of operation and maintenance; Yanchang Petroleum’s Yulin refinery ensures the stable daily output of 10,000 tons of gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel… The hardworking workers safeguard supply with their dedication, fully protecting the peace and stability of the holiday.

Full orders, proactive measures to seize market opportunities.

On the fourth day of the Lunar New Year, walking into Zhejiang Hengcheng Hard Alloy Co., Ltd.’s production workshop, it remains a scene of intense activity: robotic arms precisely grasp raw materials and transfer products; vacuum sintering furnaces operate continuously, glowing warmly; ball mills hum as slurry inside the drums churn and grind…

“Spring Festival is a critical window for production, especially since overseas clients do not take holidays, and order tasks are heavy. We must do our best to ensure delivery,” said Guo Weibo, head of the company’s Intellectual Property Department. In January, the company started strong, with a 230% year-on-year increase in output value. During the holiday, the company coordinated production plans in advance, scheduled scientifically, and over 100 employees stayed on duty to ensure efficient operation of the production lines.

At Nanjing Huaxin Tencel Optical Communication Co., Ltd., the scene is equally busy. With the global wave of artificial intelligence, demand for high-performance optical fiber cables has surged, directly impacting production, with orders scheduled into the second half of the year.

Fiber drawing engineer Li Hongjun returned to work early on New Year’s Day: “Orders are full, and during the Spring Festival, all 38 of our optical fiber production lines are running at full capacity to ensure delivery.”

“No holiday break during Spring Festival” is not only a proactive measure to stabilize customers and markets but also an important step for enterprises to seize development opportunities for the whole year.

Seizing production opportunities, safety must never be relaxed.

Conducting comprehensive inspections of key areas such as hazardous chemical tanks, carrying out safety education and training, and adding key guarding posts… In the production workshop of Guangxi Sun Paper Co., Ltd.’s Beihai plant, a series of safety measures ensure all production lines operate at full capacity.

“The more holidays, the more we need to tighten safety,” said Li Xiufang, safety officer at Beihai Plant. During the holiday, the company strictly controls dangerous operations, which must be inspected and approved by safety supervision departments after on-site assessment. Enhanced controls are implemented. Additionally, each workshop shortens patrol intervals to once every half hour, with patrol photos sent in real-time.

The Office of the State Council’s Safety Committee issued a notice, deploying regions, relevant departments, and central enterprises to effectively ensure safety before and after the Spring Festival, strengthening major risk prevention; regions are urged to enhance safety precautions for fireworks, dangerous chemicals, and industrial and trade sectors like steel; safety management for high-altitude, hot work, inspection, maintenance, and confined space operations is emphasized… Multiple measures are in place to continuously safeguard the safety production line.

The continuous operation of production lines relies on “round-the-clock” service guarantees.

In Gansu, staff at Lanzhou New Area Project Construction Center shuttle between enterprise workshops, raw material warehouses, and logistics loading areas, precisely coordinating various demands during production.

Li Chen, Deputy Director of the Center’s Department of Industry, Information Technology, and Scientific Innovation, said the center pre-emptively identified enterprise needs, coordinated raw material transportation, labor during holidays, and more. They also collaborated with power, water, and gas departments to implement 24-hour inspection and patrols.

From pre-emptively assessing enterprise orders, labor, and supply chain conditions to opening 24-hour service lines and organizing special care visits, regions are weaving a dense safety net to ensure continuous production from all angles.

In the midst of spring’s surging tide, the time for progress is now. The roaring machines and busy figures reflect the vibrant momentum of enterprise production, fueling China’s economy’s vigorous growth.
