According to data from lookonchain at the end of 2024, a series of withdrawal actions from exchanges indicate that institutions/whales are significantly increasing their expectations for the DeFi ecosystem on Solana. In the past 48 hours, three major wallets have transferred out a total of approximately $15.9 million USD worth of DeFi tokens, reflecting a deliberate accumulation strategy.

DeFi Token Accumulation Details:

Most of the buying activity is concentrated on PUMP tokens, as these three addresses withdrew 7.39 billion PUMP tokens valued at approximately $13.77 million USD. This token accounts for the highest proportion in this round.

Other DeFi tokens also attracted attention, albeit with smaller volumes:

  • CLOUD: 8.02 million tokens, equivalent to $621,000 USD
  • KMNO: 9.06 million tokens, valued at $539,000 USD
  • JTO: 1.33 million tokens, worth $521,000 USD
  • DRIFT: 3.05 million tokens, valued at $479,000 USD

Strategic Implications:

This activity signals a positive outlook for the DeFi ecosystem on Solana. When large investors start withdrawing funds from exchanges, it often suggests they anticipate market movements. The selected DeFi tokens for accumulation indicate that this group is optimistic about the long-term development of these protocols within the Solana ecosystem.
