As a long-term developer who writes smart contracts in Solidity, I have only one strict requirement for a new public chain: don’t make me relearn a whole new set of development tools. Only after getting in touch with DUSK did I truly understand what "developer-friendly" means.
The most direct experience is that common tools like Remix and Hardhat can be used without any changes. The NFT blind box contracts I previously wrote were directly imported into DuskEVM, deployed successfully with one click, and I didn’t even see any warning messages. This seamless integration is something I’ve never experienced before.
What’s even more impressive is the Hedger privacy module. I initially thought implementing privacy features would require writing a bunch of complex business logic, but it only took adding three lines of import code to get it done. Recently, I developed a small voting DApp for a friend, and used this solution to achieve "real-time vote count public but voter identities hidden." The client feedback was that the user experience was much better than on other public chains.
The mainnet upgrade in early 2026 also felt very noticeable — cross-chain contract execution speed has significantly improved. Developer communication within the ecosystem is also active, with issues generally responded to within half an hour. For developers who don’t want to spend too much time fiddling with infrastructure, DUSK’s approach indeed makes things simpler.
