How do we build a decentralized index that stands on its own—one that doesn't rely on any single fiat currency as its anchor? That's the real puzzle.

Then there's the oracle problem. Blockchains need "eyes" to see the external world, but these oracles have a weakness: they're exposed to what we might call "financialized governance attacks." When economic incentives get tangled up with decision-making power, oracles become capture targets. The tougher the oracle resistance against manipulation, the more critical it becomes to solve this challenge head-on.

Decentralized indices, to put it simply, are about wanting to ditch fiat currency as the parent, but the question is, who will serve as the anchor? It's easy to say but extremely difficult to implement. I'm truly impressed with the Oracle sector. Everything has to be subjected to governance attacks, and as soon as the incentive mechanism becomes too complex, it immediately turns into a puppet on a string, which is fundamentally unpreventable.

Oh no, it's the same old story again. Oracle issues are really a cancer.

Oracle issues are really unavoidable. To put it simply, interest groups have too much control over data sources, and in the end, you can't escape the curse of centralization.

Decentralized indices do not peg to fiat currency... This sounds like trying to create a perpetual motion machine, but in the end, it still has to rely on some form of value anchoring, which is similar to closing one's ears to steal a bell. Oracle manipulation through economic incentives? That's the essence of a sweatshop market. Everyone wants to manipulate pricing power, and it's too late to realize this now.

The oracle problem is really incredible, a bunch of centralized "eyes" pretending to be decentralized.
