"Fast but unreliable, to put it plainly, it's just a show" — this topic has recently been brought up again, pointing to a common problem across the entire DEX track.

Currently, some on-chain exchange platforms that claim high-frequency trading all follow a similar pattern: prioritize speed, but users must trust unconditionally; promote stability, but the details are all black boxes. When retail trading volume is still small, this approach can barely pass; but once institutional funds enter the scene, the underlying design flaws of these platforms immediately become apparent.

Interestingly, some recent actions by certain project teams actually reverse this issue—they are not focused on stacking speed metrics anymore.

Basically, it's just a change of packaging without changing the medicine. Speed indicators are just that—nothing special. --- The black-box operation method should have been regulated long ago. The painful lessons learned by retail investors. --- Once institutions get involved, their pants fall down. All previous tricks are now exposed. --- No need to boast about speed anymore. I bet five bucks the next one will be a new concept marketing stunt. --- We still have to wait for DEX, but a truly reliable solution has yet to be seen. --- Fast speed = information asymmetry. The fundamental nature of this business hasn't changed. --- Who are they going to cut this round? Stay alert, everyone.

I've long seen through it—these DEXs are just playing tricks with numbers. It's just the same old story with a different flavor; what’s the use of speed? To be honest, these DEXs are just storytelling. What's the point of speed? Slippage is still there; just cut when it's time. Once institutions enter the market, their true nature is exposed. The black-box operations should have been hammered long ago.

Truly a speed illusion, I've seen through it long ago—it's just a numbers game. What's the use of stacking speed? Once institutions come in, everything is exposed. Poor underlying design is just poor. Switching directions shows that the previous approach really didn't work. This reverse move is a bit more honest. Black box systems can't hold up against large capital flows; it's only a matter of time before they crash.
