In early 2026, the prediction market platform Opinion encountered an issue when settling markets related to MetaMask. Events that should have been settled as No were mistakenly marked as Yes, resulting in settlement errors.

The platform later responded that this was a malfunction in the AI oracle during the "information source indexing" phase. Simply put, the AI experienced biases when retrieving and processing data sources, ultimately leading to incorrect prediction results. This incident also exposed the current prediction market platforms' high dependence on AI oracles, but with immature risk control mechanisms. Similar technical failures serve as a reminder to participants that greater caution is needed when using such platforms.

AI oracle has failed again. To put it simply, it was a data feeding issue—fed the wrong data, and the settlement was reversed... How can we continue to predict the market like this?

AI messed up again, and we have to clean up the mess.

Is AI indexing causing issues? That's ridiculous; it feels like the prediction market isn't mature yet.

AI index has a bug. This is what they call a decentralized prediction market. It's hilarious—better to go to a casino for reliability.

Haha, this is ridiculous. AI can even read No as Yes? How unreliable is this thing? It's not the first time. Predictive markets really keep screwing up one after another. Basically, it's an over-reliance on AI oracles, and risk control is virtually nonexistent. If you ask me, platforms like these should have more manual review steps and not rely entirely on unreliable AI. I've said it before, this industry is too risky; retail investors just end up losing money.

ngl, ai oracle indexing failures hitting different than traditional bridge exploits... at least with bridging mechanics you can trace the attack vector, but this? data source drift in production is basically asking to get rekt. seen this movie before with the older oracles, never ends well 🚨
